It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 13th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS 2019), which will be held in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, on 12-14 August 2019, organized by University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).

The City of Oshawa is the largest municipality in the Region of Durham in the Greater Toronto Area which is located about 50 km east of Toronto downtown on Lake Ontario. It is commonly viewed as the eastern anchor of the Greater Toronto Area and of the Golden Horseshoe. Oshawa’s roots are tied to the automobile and nuclear industries. UOIT is a modern and innovative university with strong technology focus in its both, contents and the methods of education.

IMS 2019 will bring together researchers and experts from industry and academia to give an overview of the state-of-art, to present new research results and to exchange ideas and experiences in the field of intelligent manufacturing systems.

This event will have specific attention to the latest innovations, on-going efforts and the best practices in experiencing the Industry 4.0 era, smart factory and its cyber-physical systems, intelligent inspection to monitor the manufacturing health, and on-demand and customized manufacturing with additive.  Participants will identify new initiatives, applications, and research advances in the Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, as well as demonstrate the ready-to-deploy technologies. There will be numerous opportunities for networking and for attendees and participants to discuss the collaborative opportunities.
