The City of Oshawa is the largest municipality in the Region of Durham in the Greater Toronto Area which is located about 50 km east of Toronto downtown on Lake Ontario. It is commonly viewed as the eastern anchor of the Greater Toronto Area and of the Golden Horseshoe. Oshawa’s roots are tied to the automobile and nuclear industries.
